i've had such a crazy summer up here at the lair. it's not how i pictured my summer to look, but hey, everything's an experience and a chance to learn.
it was really hard for me to say goodbye to a lot of friends when everyone packed up almost two weeks ago. i was so rushed with work that i was frustrated i didn't get a chance to really form a lot of friendships like i had in years past. but it turns out that a quick conversation here and there was enough to start some great friendships and bonds.
our final staff party was amazing (drink) and i felt like a lot of friends became like members of my family (drink). ;) honestly, it was hard for me to form into words how much everyone meant to me. hanging out, taking shots, dancing, singing, all the crazy things that we all did this summer meant so much to me, especially since i felt pretty helpless with work stuff for a while.
it was almost double-hard because i had to say goodbe to bean the day after everyone left. thank goodness he comes back up on monday. i had taken so many moments for granted while he was here. it will be the most amazing thing to have him here again. especially for body heat...omg...it was 41 last night!! lolz
i have this week of work and then weekends only until the beginning of october. hopefully that gives me some time to hang out with bean in the bay area and do some more touristy stuff. woohoo!!
another thing i'm looking forward to is hockey season!! FUCKING FINALLY!! i feel like it's been years since i've seen a game. it's like i forgot what a two line pass is!! :) i can't wait for that to start so i can scream for the sharks on the power play or watch jonathan cheechoo make another insane goal totally off-balance!!

howdy, all!!
i don't have too much time for an update right now, but i am up at camp!! the first night was uh...interesting with nobody else up here yet an no electricity. but i rocked it hard and survived.
i just wanted to mention that it's sooooo freakin cold right now. it's about 43 degrees and it's gonna get down to about 29 tonight. thank god for electric blankets.
i'm also very excited for my family coming up third week, although that's not till the last week in june. and right around then, bean will be visiting me at the lair for about a week!! i am so pumped since it's been forever since i've seen his cute face smilin at me. WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!

just a quick update before my sleepy ass gives out and i collapse on my compy. i had a great week of birthday fun!!
it started off at work with a great party and yummy ice cream brownies with tons of sprinkles, of course!! i got to take tuesday off which was just wonderful!! my day started with the doorbell ringing and someone bringing me flowers!! they're still incredibly beautiful, and i give them little kisses each time i walk by. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. after that, i saw a movie with the fam, rested, went out to dinner, had some ice cream cake, and opened presents!! i'm so lucky!!
on thursday i got a package from bean!! omg, it was filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies!! i am so lucky to have the most perfect boyfriend, ever. they were hecka yummy in some vanilla ice cream. woohoo!!
today i got to hang out at fenton's with my friends!! black and tan, baby!! i had an incredible time with everyone and i'm sooooooo glad i decided to go there. i love how each celebration involved ice cream. hee hee!! and my friends spoiled me with presents...those sillies. yeah...i'll update this in a bit...bean just called!! goooooodnight!! :)

i had such a great time up in davis on saturday!! it was picnic day which always makes me reminisce on all the great times i had at college. it's such a blast to go up there and still have such an awesome time.
the day started out with my mom and i parking and me opening up our schedule of events for the day. only to read that kelly albin was the grand marshall of the parade!! HELLO!! we hustled to campus only to watch the last float drive by. i can't believe i had no clue and we totally missed it.
my mom and i walked around for a bit, trying to figure out what we wanted to do, and remembered that we had never seen the chemistry magic show in all the years that we had been there. so we ran over to chem 194 only to see that the dorks in charge were holding on to all of the tickets and releasing them at different times during the day. lame. so we missed that once again, but did catch part of the physics magic show. yessssssssssssssssss.
we had lunch on the quad and grabbed lumpia and tacos. oh holy crap. those tacos had this incredibly spicy salsa on them. i was so hungry that i kept eating them, but they were so hot that they were making me cry. i had to run in the coffee house and order us some frappucinos to calm our hot mouths off. it was quite comical to watch us in obvious pain, but continuing to eat.
after that, we headed over to the arboretum to get a spot for battle of the bands. i was so darn excited that caitlin was going to be there!! it's so amazing to me that she's in college now and gets to experience all this stuff!! i love seeing her play for cal, and see how excited she gets when she plays. she seriously rocks!! i also ran into kelly and gave her a hard time for not telling me about the whole parade thing. that girl is so modest. hopefully we can catch up later for my birthday and party down at the lair. last but not least was catching up (sort of) with kassey. it was great to run into her for a short amount of time, and i hope that we can talk a bit more before her and i head off in different directions.
i had such a wonderful time visiting my campus again. smelling the nasty cows by tercero, feeling the warmth of the sun with no bay breeze to freeze you up, the bike lanes, just remembering all the little things about college that you might have forgotten. it had been a while since i was on campus, and it was so fun to go exploring in the different buildings and remember hilarious stories about classes or friends. davis is a part of me that i miss, and a part that i'm glad i experienced. it was totally random that i was accepted, and it was definately all part of god's plan. i'm really excited to see what he has in store for me next. woohoo!!

a little leprechaun came to my house and left me a cute card and candy!! horray!!
i'll be making irish potato soup and corned beef tonight for dinner which is probably better than my ancestors ate. anyway, they're from county clare which is where the cliffs of insanity are!! if you saw the princess bride, you'll remember those, but they're actually the cliffs of mohr. woohoo!!
