i believe that today was the most perfect day, ever!! i started my day by sleeping in, which was so fabulous!! it was the first day in a while that i had that much sleep!! i felt incredibly relaxed, and even my blood pressure agreed with me. i think it was 111/74. my crazy hummingbird heart was a bit higher, at 77. oh well, some things never change. :)

james and i went to the 7-11 in mountain view that was dressed up at a kwik-e-mart to get some simpsons stuff!! i was under the impression that ALL 7-11s would be dressed up for the simpsons movie this summer, but just 11 in the US, and one in canadia!! james and i went yesterday, but there was a huge line and i was over it. mainly because i thought all other 7-11s would be like that...hahahahahha!! so we went this morning and waited in line to get in. YES, waited in line to get in a freakin 7-11. it was about 15 minutes, and then we were in!! not too bad, because it was at least twice as long when we got out. we had already taken pics inside with the cool characters yesterday, but hadn't been able to grab any cool simpsons crap. :)

james and i bought a few boxes of krusty o's, a few cans of buzz cola, some simpsons straws and squishees for my fam. and of course, BRIGHT PINK donuts!! OMG, they're soooo cute and look exactly like the ones in the simpsons episodes!! seriously, they're very bright, and i love them!! we took pics of all the stuff we bought, which i'll have to post once james gets them on his blog.

james was super sweet and went to starbucks to get me a cool caramel frappuccino and filled up my card with money money money!! he's so sweet and spoils me like crazy!! this was after he bought me the most gorgeous light pink long-stemmed roses last week. he is too sweet, and i don't deserve any of it!!

after we made it back to freakmont to share the treats, we came back to yummy sandos!! i had a great little nap by the pool, and then it was off to the block party next door. after some sangria and great bbq, james and i were back to mountain view!! time for another squishee and some simpsons!! horray!! after a few episodes, we heard some huge fireworks going off over at shoreline, so we ran across the street to watch them. (we were about a mile away!!) i loved not being in a huge crowd with tons of people, and worrying about driving back. we were so spoiled that we could just cross the street and see such a beautiful show.

james and i both agree that today was the most perfect day we've ever had. i'm so blessed that i got to share it all with him. xoxoxo!! :)

i can't believe all of the fun things to do at work!! earlier this week, i went to a talk by ben cohen (you know, ben from ben & jerry) who gave a great talk about changing the world. basically, he spoke about how it's not enough to donate money, you need to be sure you're helping to make changes. it's sounds obvious, but it was a great talk. after, the co-founders of my company were handing out ice cream. TOTALLY SWEEEEEET!! of course i got all excited for some cherry garcia and thanked them for taking time to give us some yummy ice cream!! :)

and yesterday (thanks to work, AGAIN!!), i got to see a free advanced screening of SiCKO. along with popcorn and soda, of course!! although the popcorn tasted like it was made the day before so poor james went and got some fresh stuff!! hahahahahahah!! anyway, SiCKO is incredibly depressing and i don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so go see it and we can chat. i just can't believe how selfish people are in this country, and how so many other countries are able to provide so much for so little. :( my prayers are that our system is somehow fixed soon and that everyone is able to get healthcare. go see this movie, even if you hate michael moore, because although there is a bit of politics in the movie, it bashes all sides. the point is how our system is incredibly fucked up and a look at many other countries and what they're able to provide.

i should do an update on my disneyland trip, but maybe i'll do that after this weekend. i'm going to the lair this weekend, and i'm pumped!! horray for 3rd week and my mommy and daddy celebrating their 30th anniversary!! :)

too bad it wasn't cuppicakes!! tee hee!! :)

oh my gosh!! i just had a kobe beef hamburger with wasabi mayo for lunch!! followed by an ice cream sundae with fresh homemade ice cream!! i smothered my vanilla bean in some yummy homemade raspberry sauce...oh soo good!! it feels okay to eat this since i usually eat salads at work. way to justify it, netters!!

AND in other happy news...i'm going to disneyland tomorrow and sprinkles cupcakes on sunday!! i cannot stop bouncing!!!!!! :)

i can't believe how much fun i had on my birthday this year!! i think this surpasses my 21st birthday as being the best one ever!! yes, even without james being here!! :(

my mommy got be some beautiful white roses and hydrangeas that i had by my desk all week. flowers make me soooo happy, and i was really productive cause i was all smiley all week. hee hee!! i started the morning by heading over to starbucks for a special treat. my daddy called me on the phone and sang happy birthday to me while i was in line!! stupid me didn't know i had speakerphone on my new cell, and i think it would have been a fun treat if everyone got to hear him!! oh well, maybe next time. i got a caramel frappucino with extra caramel since the last time i went, i pretty much got none. they totally hooked this birthday girl up, and i was incredibly bouncy all day!!

i got lots of cards and cute gifts from people at work, and that really made me sit back and appreciate all my awesome friends. someone even made me white cake cuppicakes cause she knows i'm not a fan of chocolate!! OMGZ!!! i am totally spoiled!!

my mommy and auntie came over for lunch, and we had a great time. i showed them the vc unit, and we called into dublin to talk to james for a few minutes. horray!! after that, it was off to euro to have a little bite cause i knew i was going to claim jumper that night. :)

when i got back from lunch, there was a beautiful bouquet of peach roses and little white hydrangeas waiting for me, from james!! i love love loooove flowers, and it was great to get two very similar sets of arrangements!! the fun part will be taking these two home at the end of the week..hee hee!!

i got home and had dinner at claim jumper. i didn't eat a whole lot which i know is like impossible to do there. i did end the meal with a red velvet cuppicake, but it wasn't the best one i'd ever had. it will have to do since not a lot of bakeries make them out here!! :) right before dinner, i got a totally gorgeous ring from swarovski. it's very big (but fits my tiny fingers!!) with different color hearts, and tons of sparkles!! i opened lots of cool presents after dinner, too!! hello, i am incredible spoiled!!!

so yeah, between all that, and the voicemails, birthday song messages, and other love, i had a great day!!! cheers to being 27!! :)

how cool is the place i work??

i invited meggie to eat lunch with me this week, and was super bummed when i found out that the main eating area was closed this week due to this. it was totally fine with me that i wasn't going to be able to eat yummy burrito or anything else that the place has to offer, especially since it was for such a good cause.

i found out yesterday that prez clinton was going to speak there in the afternoon, and we got to watch his speech via vc. he really is a captivating speaker, and quite serious about making sure people around the world who don't have much are given quite a bit more. people started applauding him in the middle of his comments, but he made sure to get his point across first. he seemed very committed to helping those in need, and i hope that my co-workers who were able to hear his speech were able to take away something from it.

but still...how cool is my work that they showed his speech via vc to a bunch of different buildings?? i'm sure it was to keep us away from where he was speaking!! i actually had to deliver packets to people near where he was speaking, but delayed that since i heard there was just a bit of security there. :)

i hope everyone had a super fun weekend like i did!! on saturday, james and i went shopping for my mom's birthday in sf. he ended up getting me an early present, and i was so surprised!! :)

sunday was great with easter brunch and him finally passing the final test: meeting granny. he did it in record time, and hadn't even shown off his crazy paino skillz yet. woohoo!! it was just an incredibly relaxing weekend and i feel fully charged for this week. i hope it rocks ass!!

duck the fucks!!

i'm not sure how many of you saw last night's sharks game, but what a thrillah!! i was driving home and the sharks were down 2-0. oh noes!! luckily when they knew i was home, they started scoring. horray!!

anyway, on with the drama. so going into overtime, ron wilson (coash of the sharkies) told the refs that teemu selanne's stick was not quite up to nhl standards. the refs measured it and sure enough, he was using an illegal stick. what a flopper. i've totally lost all respect i had for him.

this morning, i read online that teemu was all upset and said, "Whether it was classy or not, it was Ron Wilson's decision. He's not my favorite coach anymore." classy?? what's classy is not cheating, you effer. i don't think wilson cares that he's not your favorite coach, you jackass. oh man, that quote cracks ME UP!!

also, i am so happy that the ducks lost in a shootout when andy mcdonald completely lost the puck before he was able to shoot. of all the times to lose the puck, that was the worst, and made me the happiest because the ducks were being punks the whole game, and deserved it in the end.

horray for the sharkies!! i've got my sparkly sharks shirt on for the game against calgary tonight!! i'm gonna be so loud in the shark tank. like, playoff loud. hahahahahahah!!

my goodness, i've wanted to post about my oh-so-fun weekend in monterey for a week or two, and i keep forgetting!! the one thing i won't forget is the amazing time i had!!

it all started when i made the mistake of telling james that the best meal of my life was at fresh cream in monterey. i believe we were having breakfast together, and right after i left, he made reservations there and at this beautiful spot. that will be the last time i talk about things that cost money!! hee hee!!

but yes, we had such a fun time, and i'm pretty much going to bastardize our time in just a few sentences. we headed up there on saturday with unbelievably warm weather. it was so beautiful when we got there, and we had such a great time walking along the beach for a few hours. after that, we walked across the way to a cute little shopping complex and got some mango sorbet. then, we got all beautified for our incredible dinner!! the drive down was almost too much for me, even though it was only like 20 miles away since i was starving!! i kept thinking all day about the yummy food...hee hee!! i had the filet mignon, since almost all the other dishes i can get regularly at work. hahahahahah!! i actually ended up eating a dark chocolate torte for dessert. i know, me and chocolate, together at last. i think it was extra special because there was a bit of vanilla bean ice cream and reaaaaally yummy raspberry sauce on the side. oh, heaven!!

the next day, we went back to the place we got sorbet and had breakfast at a cute little coffee shop. i love little cafes that also serve up warm breakfast!! hee hee!! there was also a small grocery store across the way, so we ended up getting some yummy food for a picnic lunch. we headed back down to monterey for a little cruise down 17 mile road, and stopped halfway for a picnic on the beach. it was so beautiful on the beach!! the waves were really loud so it drowned out anyone else walking/talking by us and the water was incredibly clear. once we were done with lunch, we headed down the rest of the road and gawked at the gi-normous mansions along the way. it's always fun to dream!! :)

so yeah, i'm totally spoiled by james, but at least i know it, right?? and i'm going to keep my big mouth shut about other things so he can save his money!! all i need is a slurpee and i'm a happy girl!! i promise!! :)

i can't believe what a difference a few weeks makes. when i last got together with all of my lair girls (not just the roomies) we basically did a big catch-up session because it had been forever. we had dinner at la med in berkeley last week, and pretty much had to have another huge catch up session because so many wonderful things had taken place. i don't think anyone was prepared for all of the incredibly happy news everyone had to share. we are all so blessed and at such great places in our lives right now. i can't wait to see where we'll go from here!!

and on that happy note, i love falling asleep all warm and cuddled up. i probably have the biggest smile, ever, as i fall asleep. i especially love when i can hear the rain outside.

after talking with rebecca for a bit yesterday on the ride home, it became very clear that i've had a pretty fucking good week!! great news at work, a wonderful boyfriend who amazes me at every moment...

i am still incredibly lucky to be working at the coolest place ever. for lunch today, i made my own salad with yummy dressing and had black truffle oil mac and cheese, scallops, kobe beef, lobster tail, cinnamon truffles and chocolate covered strawberries. HELLLLLOOO!! we had that menu at our cafe and it was the most crowded one that day!! :)

last night i baked red velvet and vanilla cuppicakes, mix and frosting recipies courtesy of sprinkles cupcakes. i do have to say that the red velvet has made me fall back in love with cake again. for those of you who know me, you know that i'm not the biggest fan of cake, but i do love my cupcakes. those red velvet ones were so heavenly and amazing.....oh wow. :)

and of course the best part of my day was walking into work with beautiful light pink long stemmed roses on my desk. sigh. i am totally spoiled, but at least i know it!!

this weekend was totally beyond fun.  i'm incredibly tired, but it was worth it!! 
stacy's birthday was on saturday, and we got together with her, her hubby and old
friends and their significant others.  we met up at the embassy suites, got dolled up,
went out for sushi and then dancing!!  luckily i didn't go overboard with drinks,
although i was mixing them up from time to time!!  it was so interesting that the sushi
place looked like some random ass hole in the wall restaurant...next to a pizza hut,
but soooo effing yummy.  and the club we went to was amazing.  totally not representitive
of clubs i've been to in sac in the past.  it was super nice inside and had a great outdoor
area, even if it was pouring ass rain.  :)

it was great to get to get to show off james to everyone.  he was a big hit, and i didn't stop smiling the whole
night.  i'll have to post pics later.

on sunday, we headed up to lincoln to see michelle and jeremy's bundle of joy!!  baby
audriana is here!!  i can't believe how dark her eyes are, how much hair she has, and
how big she is!!  just born two days before, and sooooo big already!!  we helped them
check out of the hospital and take everything back to their place.  how wonderful
that their home has another person inside!!

even though i didn't get much sleep last week or this weekend, i had a great time and hope i
can catch up soon!!  no sleep and no naps make netters something something...

i missed john legend yesterday because i was stuck in a silly hc. luckily someone taped part of the performance and you can watch it here. i guess the guy singing with john sang at the shoreline for a work thang last summer. the best part is when he says, "take it away, john"!!!! hopefully i won't miss any more awesome peeps who stop by soon. :)
