you know you work for a pretty crazy company when you bump into goldie hawn at lunch, and a photographer for the daily mirror comes to take pictures of your office.

oh, and an update to the post below, eric schmidt asked barack an "interview" question to lighten things up before they got into more serious questions...
"How can you efficiently store a million 32-bit integers?"
"How can you efficiently store a million 32-bit integers?"
"Well, er, the bubble sort probably isn't the best way."
you could totally tell who the software engineers were in the audience, because they all laughed and i just sort of rolled my eyes. barack totally geeked it up, and everyone ate it up. :)

i read dreams from my father by barack obama in the summer of 2005, and really fell in love with him. i think it's my sociologist background that got me excited about where he came from, and what he had done with his life. in the last few years, he's been in the news more and more (obviously running for prez now) and i've really tried to take a few steps back to think about voting for him. i didn't want to vote for him just because i liked his book.
after seeing him speak at work, i am 100% convinced that this is the man that will shape america up. he doesn't speak like bill clinton, who could sell ice to eskimos, but he's very smart and articulate, and has a plan. anyway, i don't like to talk about politics too much on my blog, so just contact me if you want to know more about what i heard yesterday. :)
