hey kiddies...
so i haven't posted much about the a's loss to the sox because i didn't even know where to start. and i didn't want to talk about everything, but i felt like i should share this with you. it's taken from an article from sfgate.com. the author is talking about how players should take more blame for their mistakes and stop pointing fingers at coaches and managers. all i gotta say is: bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, bases loaded, 2 strikes....YOU SWING THE FREAKIN BAT. geez, you learn that in freakin t-ball. arg.
"On the other side of the bay, Terrence Long complained that A's manager Ken Macha had been unfair to him. Long apparently is the only one who doesn't realize he wasn't playing because he has hit .240 and .245 in successive seasons.
Long was coddled by former manager Art Howe, who left him in the lineup so he could continue his meaningless consecutive-game streak, but Macha demanded results. Now, Long wants to be traded. The A's would be happy to oblige him, if only they can find a general manager who hasn't seen Long play. "
