howdy howdy HOWDY!!

hey kiddies!! how is everyone doing?? i am in canada!! the land of beer and donuts. and i am never leaving!! well, only if the beer and donuts stop flowin like they have been!!

time for a quick update, eh?? i flew into vancouver bright and early on friday morning. i was a bit scared on the plane. i like to fly with people i know, so i'm not as scared. of course the guy that sits next to me on the plane is like really afraid of flying, and poppin pills like they're going out of style. it sort of relaxed me to see that. it was a good distraction. after the flight, i went through customs and the lady was uh...interesting?? she didn't seem to believe that i was from cali to visit mah boyfriend in canadia. i think she was pissed cause i was stealing all the hot young men up here. HA-ha!! after i grabbed my luggage, and walked out, i found beanie!! we had a great hug, and then grabbed some pizza. if you are ever flying into b.c., i highly recommend the vancouver airport. it is beautiful!! there is this incredible jade statue that i will have to link later because i won't be able to do justice on the description. after that, we waited for the bus to take us to the ferry. when you are driving in canada, do not think you are able to make a u-turn while at a normal signal. they are ootlawed here, yo. anyway, the bus took us on the ferry, and we rode it for about 2 hours into victoria. these ferries are freakin huge and hold hella cars and people and stuff. hee hee!! i really wanted to take a quick nap since i only had 4 hours of sleep but the chairs weren't set up for anything other than sitting. foolios!! after we arrived, bean's parents picked us up and took us to his house!!

saturday!! this was a big sleeping day and then bean showed me around the property. it reminds me of uncle ken and auntie leenie's house when uncle ken said, "HE'S GOT A MACHINE!!" (that is a joke for erik only, sorry!!) it's really beautiful up here...well, that's actually an understatement. he lives north of victoria, but i guess still technically victoria. but it's all spread out up here on hills and mountains. it's all very green and there are tons of trees. i'll see if i can post pics latah. bean and i went into town that night to meet up with marc and we had such a great time!! i was soooooo hungry, so i had to eat my dinner slow. but once i had some delicious fish and chips, i was fine. i had some granville island maple cream ale to wash it all down with. i was VERY hesitant to try it because i thought it was like sweet beer and i wasn't aboot that!! it was just a great medium beer and i loved it. we all were really goofy and i had such a wonderful time hanging out with bean and marc. they even took me out to tim horton's!! omg, best donuts...evah!! i had part of a maple one and part of a sprinkled one. i tried not to make many crazy faces as i enjoyed these delicious treats. wow. yeah, THAT good!!

sunday we went into victoria's chinatown area to watch the chinese new year's parade. we sort of missed it cause we thought it was coming further down the street, but it was making this big loop...i dunno. we could hear the drums at least!! and i saw a dragon jumping up and down for a bit. hee hee!! it got really cold because the sun disappeared behind the clouds and sort of started sprinkling. luckily, it was also time to eat so we found some mexican food. it's interesting to have mexican food up here. well, i don't want to judge one place, but let's say that things aren't as spicy or as flavorful. but like that ever slowed me down before. i'll eat anything!! :) after that, we went for a walk down to the empress hotel and then around downtown. oh, and bean's mommy bought us some yummy donuts!! these are different than regular donuts. they are like really small, and cooked right there. then, they smother them in cinnamon and sugar. woah. such a great little treat!!

and that brings us to today!! i haven't done much at this point besides wake bean up. hee hee!!

well, i will try to update again soon...but i'm not sure if it will be up here again since i'll be leaving on wednesday or if it will be when i am back. you will just have to tune in to find out!! latah!!

holy cow. in three days exactly, i will be on a plane and on my way to vancouver!! i am so so so excited to be finally going up to canada. it was a trip my mom and i had talked about a couple of times within the last few years, and i'm totally happy to be going!! it will be extra special cause i'll be visiting my very handsome boyfriend, bean!! yahooooooooooooooo!! :)

there are a few things planned, and i'm sure a few things up in the air, so i don't know the whole schedule yet. i'll be sure to update here and let you know of all the fun i'm having!!
