unusually wet/warm season, or global warming??

i was just watching the news here in vancouver and apparently we're having the wettest january, ever. it rained for 29 of 31 days and had the most rain, too. in other major cities in canada, the average temperature was up 6-10 degrees C. hmmmmmmm.
